what is twin stars week?

Twin Stars Week is a shipping week centered around the characters of Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku. Our focus is to bring a week filled with positivity and joy to a ship that brings great joy and happiness to others!

Rules

Thank you for your interest in the Twin Stars Week of 2020! Here is our complete list of rules to follow for this event. There’s not too many, as we want to encourage you all to express yourselves and your love of Deku & Kacchan in the ways you want to, but there are few things we need from you.

1. Keep adult content under a read more or external link and tag it as adult content. We’d like to keep the event open to as many people as possible while also not putting any limits to your creativity.2. Be respectful of other ships and shippers. This is a week to celebrate our love of Deku & Kacchan, so the week’s focus should be on raising our Twin Stars up, not tearing others down.3. Tag for the content of your works. We will not be limiting your creativity throughout this week, so if you choose to write dark works for this event you’re more than welcome to do so! All we ask is that you include the major warning tags relevant to your works for when we retweet and reblog them.4. Tag spoilers. For this week, we’re allowing manga spoilers! However, we need you to tag them as spoilers still. We want to remain respectful to those that aren't caught up on the manga and allow them to enjoy this Wonder Duo fest while avoiding spoilers. We understand that this may be hard to accomplish with Twitter character limits, but we ask that you do the best you can!5. Have fun! This rule we feel is the most important rule of all. Spread the love of our favorite Wonder Duo by going beyond, Plus Ultra!

When is Twin Stars Week 2022?

  • Twin Stars Week 2022 will be running from July 24th to July 31st with a bonus day on August 8th.

What is Ground Zero?

  • Ground Zero is our play on words way of saying that July 24th is our “Day Zero” of the week. This marks the beginning of our ship celebration!

What is the bonus day (KatsuDeku Day)?

  • KatsuDeku Day is a play on words within the Japanese fanbase of Bakugou Katsuki x Midoriya Izuku. The date of choice comes from the 8 having an alternate reading with a "ba" sound and representing Bakugou, and the 9 having a "ku" sound representing Izuku!

Why is there more than one prompt per day?

  • We wanted to allow for as much creativity and mixing and matching as possible.

Do I have to do every prompt?

  • Nope! You’re welcome to mash up the prompts for that day as you see fit. And if you don’t want to do more than one prompt, that’s all right as well.

Can I write platonic content?

  • Yes! We welcome all different interpretations of our Twin Stars.

Is OT3 content allowed?

  • Yes, but since Twin Stars Week is a celebration of the relationship between Bakugou Katsuki & Midoriya Izuku, we ask that they be the focus of the piece.

Are genderbends and omegaverse content allowed?

  • Yes! All we ask is that you tag your works with their appropriate tags so people that don’t wish to see the content can filter it out, and if your work contains adult content, that it remains under a read more or an external link such as privatter.

I'm David (he/him), and I love to draw in the same style as the BNHA anime. This will be my second year as the head mod of this week, and I'm very excited for what we have in store for you all!

I'm Mellow (she/her), and I am a diehard BakuDeku fan who loves to write and draw for our lovely boys! Mod Deku and I are doing all that we can to make sure this week is great fun for all, plus ultra!!

MOD MIRUKO

I’m Bun (she/her), and BakuDeku is my favorite ship of all time! I also love reading fan theories and meta. I took a break from modding last year, but I’m back and very excited for this year!

MOD MOMO

I'm Honey (she/her), and Twin Stars Week was one of the first events I participated in when I joined the fandom — by some stroke of serendipity I've come full circle to help run it this year!
